KÅ« Mai Ka Hula 2012 International Hula Competition
Saturday, September 8, 1:00 PM til 7:00 PM
Our 7th annual international hula competition features hÄlau winners from Japan’s competition and hÄlau from Hawai‘i and California in adult solo and group performances. The dancers compete in kahiko (traditional hula) and ‘auana (modern-day hula stylings) in both male and female categories and a kÅ«puna category. Nine hÄlau will be competing on stage this year: HÄlau I Ka Wekiu, HÄlau Hi‘iakainÄmakalehua, HÄlau NÄ Lei Kaumaka O Uka, HÄlau I Kona Mau Lima, Kekaiulu Hula Studio Hawai‘i, HÄlau Hula KauluokalÄ, HÄlau O Lilinoe, Ke Ä€nuenue Hula Studio and Hula HÄlau Kahula O Hawai‘i. Celebrate the longstanding friendship between Hawai‘i and Japan with a memorable and inspiring day of hula.
Tickets: $25/adult, $12.50/keiki 12 years & under (plus applicable fees)
