Kūlanihāko‘i: Living Waters is a new hula drama by Nā Kinimakalehua, a collaborative artistic team composed of master kumu hula Hōkūlani Holt, Keali‘i Reichel and Pali Ahue, along with Ulalia Woodside, Kauhilonohonua Padilla and Robert Ke‘ano Ka‘upu. Drawing from epic Hawaiian myths over 2000 years old, the mystical Kūlanihāko‘i is an elemental lake from which all life flows. With dance, chant, storytelling and dramatic interpretation, Living Waters depicts the many facets of water and its continuous relationship between the ocean, land and sky as told through the eyes of contemporary Native Hawaiians.
