WELCOME

Two decades of a successful partnership says a lot about the partners. Maui Arts & Cultural Center and Hawai‘i's Department of Education, Maui District, have much to be proud of as we move into the second decade of the 21st century. Our participation in the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts program, Partners in Education, is the glue that holds our commitment together.

This message from Kennedy Center’s vice president for education, Darrell Ayers, encourages us to keep up the good work:

“We are honored to be associated with this remarkable partnership. They [MACC and DOE] are national leaders in the field of arts in education, and we have watched their programs grow through initiatives in arts education research, in whole school arts integration and teaching-artist training.”

We are successful because of you—our dedicated Maui teachers. Whether you are a veteran of our arts education programs or a newcomer, we welcome you to sign up for educator workshops, school performances and CanDo! Days.

Susana Browne, Education Director, Maui Arts & Cultural Center; Bruce Anderson, DOE Complex Area Superintendent for Maui District; and Rae Takemoto, Arts Integration Coordinator, Pomaika’i School

Please email or call our Education Director, if you have any questions about how your school can take advantage of the MACC's programs:
