The MACC is located at One Cameron Way, Kahului, Maui. The Box Office is open Monday-Saturday, 10:00 am to 6:00 pm, also open two hours before Castle Theater shows and one hour before McCoy Studio Theater shows. The Box Office is located at the front gates of The Center, across from the big banyan tree!
Driving Directions: MACC is across the road from Kahului Harbor, between the campus of Maui Community College & Keopuolani Park. From Ka'ahumanu Ave heading towards Wailuku, turn right on Kahului Beach Road and go a short way along Kahului Harbor; turn left at the stoplight onto Wahinepi'o. From Ka'ahumanu Ave heading from Wailuku, turn left on Wahinepi'o at the stoplight (note that street sign on the right hand side will say Papa). The Box Office is located at the left side of our beautiful front gates, across from the big banyan tree.

Saturday, August 6, 6:00 PM (gates open 5:00 PM) The Throwdowns - CD Release Party Pavilion/Courtyard Maui’s favorite band, The Throwdowns, will celebrate the release their first full-length album Legs Of Our Own with a star-studded night of hot, Hawai‘i talent! Experience stadium pop, rock and reggae done Maui style with The Throwdowns’ brand new tunes and radio hits “Kihei Town,” “Stay HI” and “On the Radio.” Opening performances by Maui’s jazz jewel, Lily Meola, Big Island’s soul sister, Kimie, and special guest. A separate area will be available for those under 21 years of age.191

Sunday, August 7, 2:00 PM til 4:00 PM Poi Doggie Contest Schaefer Lawn Bring the family for an afternoon of fun by watching or entering your dog in the Poi Doggie Contest. Held in collaboration with the Maui Humane Society, this new event will offer a variety of canine-centric contest categories with prizes (for poi dogs only – non-pedigree, not purebred). Prizes provided by The Pet Shop, Petco and 'Ohana Pet Training.Contest categories to be judged: Best Dressed, Best Howl, Best Trick, Dog-Owner Look-Alike, Most Mixed Up, Stellar Senior and Ugliest Mug (enter one category only for each dog). Audience votes for Maui's Favorite Poi Dog! Register on site between 2:00 and 2:45 pm. Contest begins at 3:00 pm.194

Thursday, August 18, 7:30 PM Slack Key Masters with John Keawe McCoy Studio Theater Grammy Award Winner George Kahumoku Jr. hosts Slack Key Masters each month and opens the show with his musical and storytelling talents. John Keawe, a songwriter and slack key guitarist from Hawai‘i Island, infuses his music with the spirit of aloha and many elements of his life. He has released ten records in his career, and was honored with Na Hoku Hanohano Awards for 2009 Slack Key Album of the Year for Hawai‘i Island...Is My Home and 2011 Slack Key Album of the Year for Play with Me, Papa. His lovely wife, Hope Keawe, is an elegant hula dancer who has become an integral part of John’s performances.186

Friday, August 19, 7:30 PM Solo Sessions: Henry Kapono McCoy Studio Theater Hawaiian music legend, Henry Kapono Ka‘aihue, is a multiple Na Hoku Hanohano award-winning and Grammy Award-nominated singer/songwriter. In addition to his musical talents, he is the author of an award-winning children’s book, “A Beautiful Hawaiian Day,” has appeared in the feature films Damien and Waterworld, and has appeared on many television shows. Henry’s musical career started as a solo artist in Waikiki. He then toured as a performer throughout Vietnam and Thailand. Returning to Hawai‘i, Henry’s career kicked off in a big way when he formed a collaboration with Cecilio Rodriguez from California. “Cecilio and Kapono” became an instant phenomenon that took Hawai‘i by storm in the 70s. In addition to 12 C&K albums to date, Henry has recorded 15 solo albums, including his latest Henry. From feel-good songs to ballads of hope, love and dreams, and songs about friendship combined with Henry’s never-ending love affair with the islands, his music is the culmination of the extraordinary talent that is pure "Henry." Thursday, August 25, 7:30 PM Solo Sessions: Benjamin Verdery McCoy Studio Theater Described as "iconoclastic" and "inventive" by The New York Times and "one of the classical guitar world’s foremost personalities," by Classical Guitar Magazine, Benjamin Verdery enjoys an eclectic musical career. He has performed worldwide in theaters and at festivals, including the International Guitar Festival (Havana, Cuba); Wigmore Hall (England) and the Metropolitan Opera (New York City). A prolific composer, Verdery’s work has been performed, recorded and published by a wide array of artists. Ben has released 15 records, his most recent being: Happy Here with William Coulter and Branches with works by J.S. Bach, Strauss and Jimi Hendrix. In lieu of his Annual International Master Class on Maui this summer, Ben will give this up close, interactive performance.192

Friday, August 26, 7:30 PM America Castle Theater The iconic Grammy Award-winning rock group brings its 40th Anniversary Tour to Hawai‘i, celebrating the release of a new album, Back Pages. America was led for four decades by Gerry Beckley and Dewey Bunnell, who are as active as ever playing over 100 live shows worldwide per year. The band was recently announced as a 2012 Hollywood Walk of Fame star recipient. The honor is well-deserved for an act with a wealth of classic hits like “Horse With No Name,” “Sister Golden Hair,” “Ventura Highway,” “I Need You,” “Tin Man,” “Lonely People,” “You Can Do Magic,” “Sandman,” “Woman Tonight,” “Daisy Jane” and “Don’t Cross The River.” A Tom Moffatt Production198
