Completing Pundy's Dream
The Maui Arts & Cultural Center’s $15.9 million capital and endowment fundraising campaign, a Gift for Generations to Come, was started in 2001 and successfully reached its goal to meet the Kresge Foundation challenge in December 2005.
Thanks to the support of our generous Maui community and other advocates of the MACC, the campaign exceeded its goal!
The MACC completed the first two of our three planned construction stage on time and within budget and has begun the third and final stage of construction. As construction costs continue to soar, The Center’s Board of Directors is committed to continuing the campaign effort to exceed the campaign goal even further in order to keep up with the rising cost of construction and to continue its vision to build out Stage 3 as planned. This means that even on the heels of a successful campaign, we still had about 4 million to raise to meet the objectives of our capital projects. Great news ― We only have $1 million left to go!
The funds will continue to be used to improve services and facilities, expand community use, increase earned income potential and strengthen the legacy in support of Center programs. We are off to a good start and reaching goal is in sight, but we still have some work to do.
How Can You Help?
Your gift can make the difference… Let's join together once again to invest in Maui's future!
A pledge can be made over two to five years and be paid quarterly or annually. You can use your credit card (and get points or miles for air travel if your credit card offers that), stock transfers and of course a check or cash. All pledges and gifts of $10,000 or more will be recognized on the new Donor Wall of Honor.
Every gift makes the difference!
What does this mean to me? See the plans.
