Republik Music Festival -Damian Marley

Republik Music Festival -Damian Marley

BAMP presents Republik Music Festival Year3 Jamrock Edition with Damian Marley, Santigold, and Ghetto Youths Crew! Damian Marley, also known as “Junior Gong” and more recently as “Gongzilla,” is a self-proclaimed Spiritual Revolutionary and has strived to carve his own niche in music history and add a new perspective to the Marley legacy for the 21st century. Damian’s hit single “Welcome to Jamrock” was listed as one of the Top 100 Songs of the Decade by Rolling Stone, and at the 2006 Grammy Awards, he won Best Reggae Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance. This album led the way to Damian’s acclaimed collaboration with Nas for their album Distant Relatives. He continued to cross musical boundaries in 2012, partnering with Skrillex for their groundbreaking track “Make It Bun Dem.” Santigold is Santi White: an artist whose perseverance relies on invention, a champion who survives off her own skill and faith. Her breakthrough hit record Master of My Make-Believe summons pop culture zombies back to life. Ghetto Youths Crew is a group of gifted young artists from the Marleys' Ghetto Youths International record label. 681
