"I was impressed with the versatility of the knowledge learned at the MACC workshops. These classes have made me a stronger teacher. I am now able to engage and encourage students of all learning types. I have learned that the arts are a fantastic way to reach many of our students on the island because many of them come from a rich artistic background. The variety in teaching strategies and the connection to prior knowledge forms strong neural networks that are more likely to produce long term memory."
—Holly Stockwell, ‘Iao Intermediate 7th grade science teacher

"The education classes offered at the MACC have allowed me to grow significantly as a teacher. The arts teaching strategies offer more opportunities for my students to experience academic success. . . . The interactive nature of arts integrated activities has allowed my students to develop a community of learners that interact, support, and learn from each other. The net result is that my students enjoy learning!"
—Will Stack, Pōmaika‘i Elementary School 3rd grade teacher

"I am finishing a lesson on Mitosis (cell reproduction) in which the students use Andy Warhol style transparencies to show their understanding of the stages of mitosis. Love it! I can't thank you enough for giving me the tools to bring art to my students."
