What is the MACC

Maui Arts & Cultural Center ("The MACC")  is a gathering place where the community can celebrate creativity through personal and shared experiences of the arts. Our programs seek to engage and inspire all ages, nurturing excellence through the arts.

The MACC is a world-class facility where popular and innovative performing artists can be enjoyed ... connecting our community to the world. It is also a place for the community to perform: a multi-disciplinary complex offering multiple venues, a dance studio, meeting rooms and classroom space.

The MACC is an educational resource, serving all ages from pre-school to adult, enhancing arts education in schools and through professional development for teachers.

The MACC is an exhibit space for visual artists from Hawai‘i, North America and beyond.

The MACC is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors and supported by thousands of people in the community - like YOU!

OFF THE STAGE AND INTO THE COMMUNITY
Maui Arts & Cultural Center's Artists in the Community program redefines the relationship of artist to audience, and embodies The MACC’s enduring belief in the ability of the arts to build community. Through a multitude of free events throughout the year, the MACC brings performing artists into local schools, senior centers and social service agencies, reaching out to people throughout Maui County in the places where they live, go to school, or gather to socialize —including  Hāna, Lāna‘i and Moloka‘i. Through shared personal experiences with performers from around the world, Maui Nui residents experience the transformative power of the arts. In return, our visiting artists feel the strength of aloha from our community. Our outreach activities provide shared benefits: the ‘aha’ moments that occur not only enrich the community, but are also insightful for the participating artists ... and therein lies the potential for great exchange, sharing and growth.  SEE SOME OF OUR AIC  ACTIVITIES
